Ranelagh is once again looking forward to welcoming everyone to Putney Embankment, this year to start the Thames Series off.
 
Start time 11.am
One race for a very old trophy
Entry fee £10 : includes bacon rolls, tea or coffee, hot meal for 2 after racing.
Cheap bar
 
A large number of trees have been chopped down opposite the football club making it an extremely open, fantastic sailing area.
 
I look forward to seeing as many regulars and first timers as can make it.

Bacon in French Stick (well we are in posh Putney) from 10am. FREE (for Competitors) till they run out and then they cost £5

We are planing to run 2 races, but this will be wind dependant. Forecast is 10 knots with some tasty gusts. The first will be short and the second a bit longer. Results will be combined with 2nd race being decider in event of ties.

Lunch straight after sailing
Chilli con Carne with Rice - FREE for competitors and helpers.
£5 for everyone else after competitors have been served.

Bar prices as cheap as normally at RSC.

In summary - 16 entries, a pretty nice up and down breeze that was pretty light for the first lap and then freshened nicely.
 
Full results to follow but Dan Alsop and Jennie King won pretty convincingly, starting their Thames series campaign as they mean to go on.
