Topic : Silver Tiller Rules

Hi All, looking to do Hamble (R), Hayling (S), Weymouth (S), Starcross (O) and Draycote (O) this year ...what are the qualifying rules / numbers etc for the Silver Tiller?  I can't find them on the site. Alan.

Alan the Silver Tiller rules are in the year book.
Draycote Inlands won't count as part of the ST.
You need five events in total one from each category of sea, open, restricted then up to you on the other two.
Year book explains the points scoring too.

Thanks Martin, I'll look it up when I get home...  web-site shows Draycote/Inlands as 'O' on the Silver Tiller list..?

Your right it does, but the 2014 Inlands didn't feature in the ST results and in 2012 The Blithfield open was in March and the Inlands were at Blithfield in September.
So unless the rules have been changed I'm pretty sure the Inlands is not part of the ST.

Hi Alan, and Martin,

This year the Inlands is a ST event.  There are lots of reasons for this, all we think are positive.  We're trying to reduce congestion in the fixture list, while maintaining the number of STs.  It will hopefully also produce another "big merlin event" where we get to race against 50 or more merlins.....

So if you go to all the events you've listed Alan, you will indeed qualify.

On a personal note, I think you should consider Aldeburgh to have a spare (R) in the bag.

Kind regards,

Fran
