Topic : Holt Martine 635 project available

"Hi all. Sadly it seems I have run out of time to do this project due to a change in circumstances and so I am looking for someone to take it on. As you may know the Holt Martine is one of more favoured river designs and is quite a rare find. I have been hanging on to this one for a year and half now and just don't seem to be able to find the time to do it.\r\n\r\nShe is now very dry as she has been stored in a dry garage and continues to be. I cannot see any rot in her although there is a patch of glassfibre under a rather questionable bulkhead and I am not sure if it is covering something or simply holding the bulkhead up! The boat seems solid on the outside where this patch is.\r\n\r\nThe boat is in need of a refit although it is all there. It could be stripped back and have the old decks glued back and varnished but I feel this would be doing it a disservice (although locked away in a garage is just as much so). I have a 22ft rig with an ali mast with diamonds, the original wooden boom and original cotton sails! I also have the original terelyne sails bought as a replacement.\r\n\r\nShe is sitting on a good trolley which I sourced for her and I even managed to get hold of some original brass tube bailers if someone would like to put them back!\r\n\r\nI would like to recover some of my costs so far and so I am asking for £150 towards them and the chance to own a really superb river boat. I really am sad to let this go but someone must get her back on the water soon as it is such a shame for her to sit in my garage any longer.\r\n\r\nDrop me an email or give me a call. My number is in the front of the yearbook or click my name to the right here to email me.\r\n\r\nI hope someone can give her a good home.\r\n\r\nHer name is 'Siesta'\r\n\r\nJeremy Deacon"
