Hum after a capsize last race at Salcombe my tacktick had gone dead Can't find a contact number for tacktick do they still trade. Any ideas welcome

They were bought by Raymarine a couple of years back. Try here or local dealer.

I had a similar problem with mine - thought it had breathed its last - but what it needed was a damn good charging up by the sun. Apparently, even though you'd think sailing gives them enough sun-hours, dependent on the location in the boat, shadow of sails, etc, they run out of charge. Before any money changes hands, sit the thing in direct sunlight (as I type this in soggy Devon, I smile wryly) for at least one whole day and see if it comes back to life; mine did. If it doesn't, I've just typed a load of rubbish and I apologise for getting your hopes up!
