Looking forward to it, but bear in mind that the Devon County Show is on the 16 to 18th May, so traffic might be a touch chaotic at the bottom of the M5, so allow a bit more time to be safe if coming down on the morning of the 18th!

See you there.

On this page http://www.starcrossyc.org.uk/syc1/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=222 when you click 'Enter here', you get the message:

"Sorry - the entry limit of 110 boats has been reached - online entries have now closed

There is a limit to the number of boats and cars we can accommodate at the club so unfortunately we have to impose a strict limit for the Steamer.

If you want to be notified in advance before next year's event - please send an email to John Donovan"

Yet there are only 2 entries in the Entry list... Presumably this message is something to do with the Steamer?

Hi Richard,

The Starcross open has become increasingly popular over the last few years, but unfortunately this appears to be a glitch in the matrix - thanks for letting us know. Our web bloke is on the case and I'll let you know when this is sorted.

The online registration should be fixed now, apologies on behalf of SYC. However, the 110 boat entry limit does still apply so don't delay, enter today ;-)

Just to be clear, there is no limit on the number of entries- that was indeed for the Starcross Steamer.

Oh dear I should have seen Dave's reply first! He is strictly right; we cant physically accomodate more than 110 boats but this would be quite an ST turnout. See you there on the 18th.

The current weather forecasts are looking fairly good for wind strength this weekend. Maybe a risk of a shower or two, but sunny spells in between :-)

19 entries already via the web site and I know of several more which are due. It does help us with the admin and preparation, so please register if you are intending to come.

Please remember to unhitch and untie the front mast support to pull boats through under the railway bridge.
