The last of the Thames Series at Ranelagh is always worth a trip. Possibly the most difficult place to sail a Merlin with turbulent wind and loads of tide. Sorts the men out from the boys in a non PC way!

Arriving - I you are towing - try to be heading west along the hard, so that you can un-hitch and drive to the parking area just up river from the club. Best to turn down the side of the Dukes Head Pub on Lower Richmond Rd and then turn left onto the Embankment.
Food Before - Bacon Rolls beforehand £1.50 each
Food After - There will be Chilli and Rice, alongside the traditional cakes and scones (all included in the race fee)
Tea and Coffe - At any time (FOC)
The course will be decided upon in the morning and advised at the race briefing which will be held at around 12:30. Laminated basic area charts will be available.

Forgot to mention that the Avenger Trophy and a bottle of something will be awarded to the first boat, below sail number 3265 to win using the handicaps in the Yearbook.

Any news on the overall Thames series final results please. We know the winner but there were one or two others of us also taking part!
