Built in 1975/76 by Aln Boatyard for P. Rainey of Blithfield SC. Her name was 'Solace'.

& IIRC the reason for the name was that according to the MR Book, she was won in a raffle and the 1st owner's original Admiral Benbow had been written off in an accident.

Quote from MR book "Also at the (1975) championships was the prizewinner of another raffle for a new Merlin Rocket with the pre-allocated number 3000, Peter Rainey. Having had the misfortune to have had a boat which he had commissioned from Martin Jones written off in an accident, Peter used his raffle prize to have another Admiral Benbow design built by Aln Boatyard.
