The wife of Francis Williams, Karen, died of leukemia this week.

Francis won the championships in the early '70s.  He and his wife often sailed together and were members of Exe Sailing Club.

We send our best wishes to Francis and his family.

Sad news indeed.

Some of us will remember Francis and Karen's children running around the dinghy park. One of their sons, Ian, is now one of the worlds best match racing sailors. He has just won the Congressional Cup and he mentions his mother in this report.
