Calling all ladies, ladies who sail, ladies who want to improve their sailing, ladies who want to learn more about what bit of string does what in a boat and understand more about the karate sailing that happens in bar talk, this is your time.

Amanda Tosh and I have been working hard with Banbury Sailing Club, to put together a ladies sailing day. There has been fantastic interest so far, so to give us more of an idea on numbers please can you email Amanda at [email protected]

And I'm pleased to announce that so far both Jilly and Fran have agreed to join us to show us the ropes and tell us what we want to know.

This sounds a great idea, there are a bunch of ladies at Thames Sailing Club who have all bought vintage Merlins in the past year. I've emailed Amanda tonight. One can always make room for cupcakes :-)

Is the idea to do the event in Merlins or any other boat available?

Yes the plan is to use Merlins and have a number lined up to use.

and for any boys travelling up with their ladies there is always this to be tempted by while we're on the water....
