The video from the rib should be made into a TV series called "So you think you can sail your boat flat"

I miss Rutland weekends!

By: Popeye

We were waiting to see if we would get an invite for 'the wedding' but as nothing has arrived, we've booked for the training weekend instead.

KM very wise.
The only HM pressie you're likely to get is the bank holiday!

The long term weather forecast suggests that the weather at the training weekend will be good!
so send along your entry form.

you could use a photocopy or get so excited by the last two entries who ripped out the booking form in Macduff like fashion!

If anybody is looking for a crew with Rutland experience, I have a potential candidate.

Booked into the bunkrooms for the duration, arriving a little earlier than usual to allow my delicate digestive system to aclimatise to the change in beer - can be very disruptive to the constitution.

Ohno!

Estelle (wife and crew) getting twitchy about the first day and missing our street party for the wedding.

How can I allay her doubts? Can you organise a street party afloat?

Ah this Royal Thing.

I know Kates secret cos I read about it in M&S. Apparently she does her own make up. So thats something she and I have in common.

There is a telly at the Club. If Estelle wants to watch the ceremony we can do the Top Gun thing. I'll sail with you. But dont treat me like Goose.

Street party probably not on the water but we certainly can party later on shore. In fact we may insist upon it! William's paying I believe.

Thanks Steve.

It seems she doesn't want to watch the thing but didn't want to miss out on the party.

I have told her she can have an extra glass of wine to toast the happy couple with her Merlin friends. It seems to have done the trick.

Well done Terry. The extra glass of wine will be worth it. Worked for Tom And Kelly.

You lost that luffing feeling..........

You can run but you can't gybe

By: Tom Cruise
Tom may well do but the actual stats are that 75% of the crews are ladies.

Thats why there is a special exclusive session on Saturday, just for the ladies.

Not too late to join up for next weekend!

send entry by email, you can pay by BACS, or even bring a checque with you.

However, I need to know numbers to do the final planning.

yes looks to be a breezy day saturday, sunday and monday.

But a lot less wind than last year and a lot warmer!

Luckily I have my Iphone so I can look at Windguru every few minutes to see if I exist. This is a Decartian App.

On behalf of team Smokin may I offer my appreciation and thanks to all on the training team who made the weekend so enjoyable despite the testing wind conditions. So much information, advice, support and encouragement was on offer, that we will have to return again as there is simply too much to take onboard in one visit. Thanks again and see you next year.
