Topic : Next year's fixtures?

Any clues about when we should be planning our excuses for absence for next year? There must be more normal fixed weekends already in place that could be posted. Salcombe is known for a start. Warming Pan and Bloody Mary warrant inclusion ASAP.

As the 2011 fixture list builds, it will be visible at this link. The Silver Tiller dates are not usually confirmed until February I think?

Just as a comparison, it is interesting to see that the Solo class has already published its 2011 open and champs dates on its website. Whilst we obviously need to work with the clubs concerned and are to some extent tied to their timetables, surely if one class can manage it we should be able to as well.

Being involved in this at club and regional level, I can assure you that it is not as easy as it seems! The hold-up with this year's fixtures as been largely due to problems with the dates for the Inlands which has been resolved.

The Solo's will need to be drug tested this year as certainly at Banbury they have been one of the last classes to settle their fixtures - this year they were all sorted out over a month ago.

Sat 30th July through to Sat 6th August:
Pyefleet Week at Brightlingsea.
Following on from last years success: committee boat starts; one class race a day (alternating AM and PM), with the ability to race in the handicap class as well if you are feeling fit; camping close by with great evening socials.
And, following on from last years close racing, a well practised protest committee!

Now that's tempting - could tie in with Jamie Campbell's Vintage event at Wroxham as the two together would be a good trip east.

If you sail a N12 it would be good practice for those nationals as well!
