Peter Flanagan passed away on Saturday. Peter was awarded Life Membership of our class association in 2006, an award of which he was justifiably proud. His funeral will be held at Amersham Crematorium om Friday 24th September at 1.45pm

Very sorry to hear that; Peter was such a loyal supporter of the class for so long, and such a gentleman.

Very sad news. 

I met Peter at several open meetings in the early ‘90’s when he sailed ‘Nosmo’ and was a true gentleman through and through.

I'm saddened by this news. I first saw Peter at the 1956 Championships at Whitstable when if I remember correctly he was 1st or 2nd in one of the races. 

In later years I often walked along the Thames at Cookham where I live and watched Peter then in his 70s sailing his Omega hulled NSM 1 no. 3255. 

Peter was chairman of the MROA in 1969-71 and his lifelong support of the class resulted in him being awarded a well deserved Honorary Membership of the class association 2006.

I last saw Peter at CRSC last summer, he looked frail but was still interested in what was happening in the class

I am also so sorry to hear this very sad news. I shall always remember Peter's wise counsel to me during my years as Secretary and on the MROA Committee. He was such a kind and considerate man. My sincere sympathies go to his family.
