Topic : 3154 Information request

We bought 3154 at the weekend (Rowsell NSM1 previously laying at Midland SC, currently called "Sandy") and I am hoping someone has more information on her.

I would especially like it if someone can recall an original name, not a fan of "Sandy".

Any information would be much appreciated

Thanks

Ed

Thought Sandy was the original name, wasn't she Chris Andrew's boat? On a rather unique shade of Turquoise!

Only a matter of time before someone notes my mixing turquoise Blondie with beige (or blonde) Sandy

Hi all

Was just curious if anyone had any further info on 3154? Would really appreciate anything from old yearbooks.

Thanks

Ed

3154 'Sandy' was built by Rowsell Bros for Chris Andrews probably in 1978. She is a Morrison designed NSM Smokers Satisfaction.
The 1983 YB records a new owner as A. Wilson at Queen Mary SC.
The 1985 YB shows the owners as M. Mac Dougall and A. Bunnis at QMSC.
By 1986 A. Bunnis owned her entirely.
According to the 1988 YB she had another new owner. R. Rawlinson who lived in Cumbria but no club was recorded. The 1989 book shows the club as Coniston.
The 2000 YB shoews the owner as C. Scott at Bartley Green SC.
In 2003 she was owned by Philip Bowden at Midland SC. He/she also is recorded as the owner in last year's book.

Thanks for the information Tony.

Adds some context to the hull I have become so intimate with, removing and applying multiple coats of varnish.

She is now on the sea at Walton and Frinton Yacht Club in Essex. She will hopefully enjoy the change, although the name has to go.

Thanks again

3154 was indeed at MSC for several years.
Kept indoors and only sailed in the most beneficial of conditions. Therefore a good condition boat.

As a thoroughbred, no doubt will relish the new challenge.

enjoy.

boat names.
change them with respect and caution.
