have got the stem cap off MR3084 - now drying out very nicely and shall be re-glueing planks shortly........... problem is that I've knackered the old stem cap and don't have a clue how to start whittlin' a new one - any help/advice would be greatly appreciated..... problem is that curves in all sorts of planes.............

I still have the old one intact albeit with chunks out of it
