I have been looking for some "D" section brass keel band to replace some damaged band after painting my hull. The existing band is 8mm wide. Cannot seem to find a stockist anywhere, any idea please? Only looking for 1.25m. Brian

I had this problem a while ago and really struggled to find any. I the end Jacko let me buy a meter off him but did say that he could not get it easily either. Might be worth asking him or lawrie smart might be able to help too.

You want solid brass beading. Its readily available and cheaper than it is when its called keelband!

Thanks. Just found convex 5/16 width brass beading at 2.64 per foot which is pretty good. Longest length delivered is 4 foot so should just do. Brian
