Next year, the week before Salcombe I'm going to be riding up 6 mountains from the Tour de France on the Classic Cols of the Tour de France. I need to raise some sponsorship money for WaterAid in order to do this, I'd really appreciate any help you can give me. I've set up a page on Just Giving.

Yup, read that... Sounds like it'll all be worth it in the end, my bro reckons I should stay down there an extra day and do Mont Ventoux as well.... Maybe next year....

I was interested to read that you are planning to ride the 6 classic cols. My daugher and her husband own and run a chalet hotel below the "col de joux plane" which I'm sure will be on your list, it's at Verchaix a small village close to Samoens, the start of the clime.If you haven't already arranged your accomodation you might want to check them out. Thanks for the info, Discover Adventure are arranging all the accomodation for me in hotels along the route. Your daughters hotel might be on the list, I haven't been told yet.

I got sponsored by a mate yesterday who says he'll double his sponsorship if I bet a target time of 24 hours for the challenge. I'm happy to accept the same challenge from anyone else??? Btw, I have to buy him a pack of beer if I don't beat the time (this could get expensive)....

I haven't mentioned this to you guys for a while, but I'm still training hard for the Classic Cols event in France and trying to raise money for WaterAid. Please could anyone donate anything they can afford. So far only Kelly and Ross, and Rach have donated from the merlin fleet.... Tons of people have told me they are planning on sponsoring me but just haven't got round to it yet - please do it now!

I entered the Cheshire Cat sportive yesterday, which had a big 1 in 4 climb in it which was HARD!!! I managed to get up it though and won a medal.
