but you can get a lot more of them across a start line and I bet they aren't as pushy as us lot.  How long and wide is the fairway this year then John?

Despite what everyone says, its exactly the same as last year!

Its funny, but every year people think that its got wider but if that was the case we would be sandyachting on Smalls by now! The main thing to remember about the Fairway is that its there as much for your / our protection as it is there to provide a thoroughfare for non racing boats. The dreaded South Sands Ferry will keep to his marked area providing racing boats do the same to theirs.

Oh, and don't forget that the SSF is a stand on vessel constrained by draught etc!!
