such a common question perhaps we should have an FAQ section.. 15 to 16 meters. buy 16 and cut is the advice

Quite a bit shorter because you probably won't use about 3 metres of tail wending round the floor and attaching to the pull down patch. However all old boats are slightly different and you need to copy the old one or measure the route up and down your mast and around your cockpit and bags.
