MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Easter Merlins at Whitstable

The Whitstable club Easter Series saw 8 Merlins turning up out of a club total entry of 88 dinghies and cats. 3 lengthy races were held in light to medium shifty breezes but Sunday was calmed off. Phil Emery and Sophie Mackley (3700)won with 1,2,2 from Dan Parsons and Hannah Stodel (3666) 1,2,3 and John Cooper with Hilary Bradshaw (3672) 1,3,3. The rest were not far behind and evryone enjoyed the close racing.
Do you know that WYC has a policy of free visits with participation in club races for any member of any RYA club. You just don't count in the series. This is a great oportunity to try out the Nationals water if you are still deciding whether or not to come.

Believe it is 6 days without counting TT and Champs as these are open weekends to that associations members. Definitly worth the visit if at a loose end, but do co-ordinate to get the best out of it.
Dare I say we are doing this with the B14s and had 5 boats over Easter. Would have been more but for lack of wind.
So if located around the M25 as I am, it's just over an hour and worth the effort.
