MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Merlin Stuff for sale

In a continuing effort to be able to actually get into my garage, I have listed half a dozen jibs, a boom and an old mast (Richard, don't worry it isn't the mast ear-marked for you)

Please take a look.

Hi Alan,

Any idea what manufacturer/model that mast is?

I'd quite like something equivalent to a superpars M7 (was that right? the in-vogue ally mast pre carbon takeover?)

Cheers - Andrew.

It may be a superspars M7. The M7 is stiff and this is a stiff mast. If you know the dimensions of an M& then I could check

I think the in-vogue ally mast pre-carbon would have been a light bendy M1

An M1 is 55mm x 68mm, so measure carefully!

Within the tolerances of a bit of paper and a biro I made it 76x62 whih the closest is 74x61 which is an M6. Stiff and heavy, ideal for river sailors maybe (or as recommended by the superspars site- Yacthing World day boats and Seaflys)
