Hi all, MR 3279 has just appeared on eBay, anyone know what design it is-ant thougths about the boat? (I dont like the look in the one picture with it being dragged up the gravel for de-rigging!)

It's an Alan Jackson built Bad Company. An excellent lake boat of it's day and will be well built.

Looks to be in pretty good shape too but the bottom may need attention if that's the treatment it gets every week! It does have a trolley so this is unlikely.

I think this used to be Jacko's own boat .  It was certainly very quick in his hands on the river.  Mr Biddle and I used to enjoy watching Jacko's white knuckles trying to hang onto the tiller downwind in a blow - I seem to remember it took both of Jacko's hands to keep it on the straight and narrow. (Bad Company's were a bit lively in a breeze)  Jacko was quick in it though! And yes it was very well built indeed (and pretty).
