Topic : Thanks Redditch

Thanks to the Redditch team for hosting the Midlanders last Saturday. They did a great job on a very blustery day. Kudos to the rescue team, caterers and OD.

Quite agree. Hospitality was great, wind shifts and gusts less so. Best bit was leading the first race for a couple of laps - just shows that getting to the start area with 10 seconds to go is the thing to do! Shame it started to go wrong after that - must practice more...

So sorry to have missed this. Who won? Are the results available somewhere for Redditch and the Midland series?

Go for it John, date yet to be set but I expect it will be the last event again, desperate shifts, dodgy islands but cracking cake and very amusing when it's not your turn to swim!

Sounds just like Tamesis with the shifts, for islands read pseudo paddle-steamers laden with tourists.

Should be fun !
