The wanted section of this site looks not to be used very much so I thought I'd post here. Does anybody have a spsre lifting rudder and stock available, carbon much prefered? - could swap for a fixed rudder.

Is this the Mr Wilkins I know from N12's?? If it is have you crossed over?
I guess this is about Salcombe? I made a rudder stock for our Canterbury Tales for Salcombe, it takes my N12 rudder. You are welcome to borrow the stock (I need the rudder) but I might be buying another Merlin soon so I may need it again.

Hi Dave -yes the very same! My secret is out now!
Yes Two Red Herrings is sitting alongside Cooked To Perfection in the garden - sounds a bit like a tasty BBQ!
The lifting rudder is for Parkstone where we intend to sail the Merlin - Salcombe may have to wait another year. I've got to sort out the challenge of tacking facing the wrong way in the boat yet!
See you at Parkstone soon Dave? I gather you take the girls there for the Cadet sailing? Thanks for offer on the stock - how far apart are the fittings? I've got 178mm between bearing surfaces on the fittings on the hull.
Cheers
David
