The Merlin fleet at Brightlingsea has grown by one over the weekend, David and Celia Charlton purchased a second hand Merlin and we look forward to seeing them on the water. I was race officer for the Sunday and they borrowed my boat, over heard someone say its never gone so fast!! We now have 3 new Merlin's sailing every weekend and look forward to Jacko and Ron joining us for the summer. If you have a Merlin (old or new) and looking for somewhere to sail Brightlingsea would love to see you.

Posted the cheque this morning.  We will be at the training event in a couple of weeks time (boat number 19 I understand).

It was very good of Craig to lend us his boat as ours was not yet insured.  It was supposed to be a quiet sail 8 mph winds and get used to the feel of something a little more tippy than the 400.  However as the big black cloud arrived it got up to 20+ knots and  I understand Craig couldn't bear to look!

Fantastic fun.
