A while back there was a thread about old boats going to the nationals and there were about half a dozen seriously interested.

Is there going to be a section for boats over 20 and over 30 years old, like there (nearly) was last year?

Regretably the thread has gone, like my hair, sanity and other things. There were quite a few oldies (us included) - but have no fear, if you email the champs organisers they will add you to the list - even better, pay up and submit the form and then there are no worries!

I hope that there is an older boat series although the entry form only mentions "old boats" being over 10 years old.

Hi all you older boat owners.  There will indeed be prizes for you, in the same categories as previously.  However the racing will be in amongst everyone else, rather than organising specific racing for the older boats.  We would like to encourage you to sign-up - well done Andy for doing so so promptly!

The nationals is about much more than coming first, and you will be developing intense rivalries no matter where in the fleet you are sailing.  The fact you have a specific prize to aim for should only encourage you further.

May I also take this opportunity to remind everyone that there is an EIGHTY boat upper limit on the championships.  This is because of new sea defence railings along the beach at Looe, so GET YOUR ENTRIES IN NOW!
