Could any one tell me the spec for the tension off the mask wires & the rake off the mask i am new to sailing and very green. my boat is 1974 ghost rider

Well I won a chmpionship race with 9 ins of rake at goose neck level and with the leeward shroud just off tight .However Harry and Kevin Haynes both achieved greater success using rather more rake .

The initial Gregory design had a small jib and large main but Francis Williams felt that the boat would go better in the light stuff with a larger jib ( and proved it )

They were lovely boat but rocked from chine to chine on a run - don't let this put you off !!

It will depend on the mast foot position which seems to vary enormously on boats by the differant builders of that era.

Somewhere between 6 and 12 inches was what i was told for my Hexagon, the Ghost Rider will probably be about the same.
