It depends. One popular(?) definition is that it is a pint glass filled from the slops trays along the bar, but I have also met a pint glass with a double shot from every optic.
Hence the advice given to me many years ago about drinking with friends, 'refuse everything you're offered and drink half of what you get'.

yesterday was blown off, so they went to a pottery studio and painted tea cups,.....not quite the merlin way of passing the time but each to their own.
