Well there are lots of old Merlins around so get cracking. In fact the Vintage fleet is probably the fastest growing wing!! It is I am sure testament to the quality of so many of the builders of the past that these boats are still around and in good nick.

But even a vintage boat isnt as narrow and cramped as a Fireball? How on earth do those 6ft crews manage to tack?

I moved from crewing fireballs to helming rockets last year. Being just over 6ft a wise choice. I lopved crewing the fireball but it doesnt compare to sitting at the back of a merlin on a reach, no where near as smooth!
