does anybody know of a good pole supplier, length for big kite and approx cost,
are there any makes to avoid

P&B Price - £95 each (excl P&P)

Presumably you are talking twin pole, carbon?
Length is the maximum in the rule book (see your year book or RYA technical web site), includes fittings.

Superspars, robust, P&B would supply fitted out for Merlins
Chipstow, lighter, custom made 

or diy with carbon tube, there was  adiscussion on this, search the forum
