Topic : Cookham Open Sunday

Crew required for Sunday's event. Willing, able and light are the requirements. Like about 8 stone! Ship is the mighty Splatter, bit of a shed, but seems to go ok. If you think you can manage it drop me a line [email protected] or call on 07770 827 343. This is a rare opportunity and no time-wasters please Mr Vines.

The weekend is looking good for Cookham.
Jilly and I running informal training on Saturday morning (Phil Plumtree is welcome if he find a crew)- small charge for non CRSC members. Alex has promised to show up as well.
We will provide a ploughman’s type lunch and the inaugural race for the Guy Pearce Memorial trophy is in the afternoon. The bar will be open.
Sunday is the Thames Series Open meeting.
All in all a good weekend out on the river - hope to see lots of you there.

Still looking for a fit! and able! volunteer for Sunday. Bit of an emotional return to Cookham for the good ship Splatter, 3 times winner in the last 6 years and venue of her very first open victory. I would like to go there again, so let me know if you can offer any assistance. Thanks, Phil

Maybe I could do it..................
Must try and remember not to leave my wallet, phone and pants on the shore while at sea.

Did you get a sail in, in the end?

No, Phil and Myself went out for a sail to see what it was like and it took me 20 mins to get to the corner (half way to the start line!) so we decided to abandon the racing and open the bar! We have posponed the open until 5th November, hope to see you all there. Those people who entered your entrstants for November.
