Topic : Scotland trip, more details please

I take it that we can still camp & motorhome, in the sailing club grounds over easter. When will they allow us on site, as we are leaving on the thursday to break the journey and should be there friday.

If you could lets me have the details.

Yes, motorhomes, caravans and tents are most welcome on the club grounds. DBSC has a large grass area overlooking the river that can accomodate loads of tents ect.

I will post directions to DBSC on this thread later today, but basically head towards the Forth road bridge and then follow signs for Dalgety Bay. Detail to follow.
We are still taking entries if there is anyone out there who fancies the trip.

Is that Texaco garage before the Dalgety West roundabout not a BP garage?

PS It's a beautiful stretch of water and a lovely area with lots to do for non sailors. Would recommend the trip to anyone. Hope you all have a good event, sorry I can't make it.

I took the directions from the DBSC website so I guess it may have changed - just look out for "A garage"!!!

To wish you all asuccesful regatta. I just hope nobody gets chicken and ducks out because of the swan with bird flu in Fife! Garry and his hard working mates would have a lot to grouse about if they do.

Just to pull this thread to the top of the pile. Directions link on this one not the other.

As for the bird flu its getting right on my pecker, making DEFRA look like a flock of Tits and driving me up the falcon wall. They dont even know what genus on Swan it is yet or where it came from. I find it all realy gulling and think its just another albatros round the farmers neck.

Just to help Hamish drag this one into pole position again. I'm up here in sunny Livingston at the moment. Hope you all have a lovely time, don't forget your cameras it is a lovely spot and you may see some seals.

I have just had the Rhona Brankin - Deputy Minister for Rural Affairs (Scotland)(aka Dept for Dead Swans) in my lab for a visit and she didn't seem to be suffering from the flu at all.

I have now been reliably informed that the Texaco garage as described on the website is indeed a BP garage.
