Can't look at e-bay from work! What is it and does it have a number?

3232 Too Risky!! Bad Company design built about 1981 built by Boatcraft. Looks as if it needs a fair bit of work - perhaps the jib forestay has pulled out. Has sails, mast and foils according to blurb. Currently £75 reserve met.

Looks a bit 'Too Risky' to me! Could be good fun to do but bit far for me too go. It would cost me 100 quid in petrol to go get it!

Looks cool - is it deck stepped?

Certainly a low tank and a king post.....

No.

Could be converted as it has alow bow tank, but strictly depends on the integrity of the hull structure. If the vendor is right in saying the hull is sound then it should be OK, although using such words as 'Sound' always conjures a whole box of tricks, and the first bit of tension you put on the rig you have a load of fire wood!

I am sure given it's age the hull will be fine, the decks on the other hand look bad.

Jon why don't you buy it and cover it in your magic carbon?

I had a Winder Bad Company, great for those on the porky side, went well in light and medium breezes, exceptional to windward, needed to be as it didnt plane that quickly, good inland. Looks as if it really does need some TLC

It might be a low tank, but the supporting bulkhead is only 3mm ply (As are all boatcraft boats) and would need to be beefed up substantially to take a deck stepped mast.

We came up against this converting 3246 "Bad For Good" and haven't solved it yet...........

This isn't a problem on other leading builder's boats who use 3/4" or 1" Mahogany.
