Topic : Pulley block wanted

I know this request is not in the correct place but not many folk look under "Items Wanted" I guess, so here goes with apologies. I'm looking for a brass/metal pulley wheel (wire block?) 30mm diameter (axle diameter not too important but 7-8mm would be good!!) for very old Merlin as I am trying to make up a jib halyard block in line with the forestay (the jib runs up its own halyard!!). Something vandalised out of an old mast sheave block might do. Anyone got anything lying around? Just email me - thanks.

you can order a sheave pulley wheel+pin from p&b or sailboats, loads of choice in their catalogues, or any good chandler - either a proctor spare part or whole sheave/block, or a holt plain bearing block, i think they are either 25 or 38 dia

Each of the manufacturers (holt/ronstan/harken etc) do a range of sheaves in acetal or aluminium. The mast makers do the same but the choice is fairly limited as they have tried to standardise sizes. You just need to know the size required in terms of dia x width x bore and get your friendly chandler to find the closest match...
