Good to see that it was not over full, given that the house in Salcombe is already booked. Also good to see that John knows how to spell my name... David. We are testing a theory that you can sail more than one class at a time, may not work in which case I might retire back to the 12 after a year.

Sailing two classes classes... Anthony, if your switch is as sucessful as Tom's these guys have something to worry about. If you are as sucessful as me they wont! Three sail reaches up at Gerston have to be the best thing ever......

It's not unusual to multi class.
In even my extreme youth the Merlin Rocket-National 12 double was common place, Jack Holt, Ian Proctor, Cliff Norbury,Brian Southcott, John Oakley, Barrie Perry, Chris Andrews to drag a few names from the creaking memory bank no doubt those even older such as Robert Harris know of others. Some such as Robin Judah did it three ways with Merlin Rockets, Hornets and Fireflys. Southcott also did it 3 ways MR, Nat 12 & Firefly at a late fifties Tamesis Easter regatta I think.
