Topic : Glass Sheathing Internal Plankwork

I have an old wooden Merlin.
I am contemplating glass sheathing the plank work internally for robustness (Locally where the helm and crew run around.)
Firstly is this legal? And secondly if it is, is there a maximum weight of cloth permitted??
I understand it is the modern trend to sheath the boats on the outside of the plank work using 150g/sm but I only want to do localised areas and don't want to have to repaint the outside of the boat again!!

Much obliged.

anti slip varnish or paint like interdeck + additive in the crewing areas will accomodate the wear and tear - mine's lasted for ages. surely glassing in just a local area will not increase overall stiffness, just put more stress elsewhere.

I was recommended Hibuild 302 as an expoxy for painting the internal surface. Mixed with some Silica it will also give you a non slip finish. Problem is getting hold of it as it tends to come in 5 gallon drums.
