The only weak point on my Rowsell/Omega NSM would appear around the sidedeck to gunhale join. I have cleaned it under the deck and the hull & epoxy filleted it with a structural mix. This season no problem. If your going to carbon the sidedecks you might consider the weight involved, have you weighed your boat yet? adding it to an already heavy boat won't help. If she is heavy you could strip the top veneer off! but probably better to remove the whole decks, check/reinforce/repair the sub structure then redeck with a lighter 'gaboon or foam ply then use your carbon. It would be a pity to use all that Carbon on old ply for it to fail later. Just an idea and while your at it check the weight of your centreboard/rudder/hoop etc. regards Barry 3236
