Interesting, though not entirely useful. Just nice to see what a wide audience we have! America, Germany...
Fear not, the tracker isnt THAT accurate, and only knows the physical location of your ISP (probably 20 miles down the road from where you are, at least). http://www.evostats.com/59.html

Definately unreliable - no indication of anyone from the West Country and at least two of us from Wiltshire have posted in the last two days!
Also since when did Colchester and Stevenage come into Norfolk?? Or is it just Amercan geography which, like American history, is rewritten to suit themselves?

Type "Google Earth" into google. Follow the link Download the installer Run it Be amazed!
In answer to your question, I think they download maps from a variety of sources and get them as you click.
