Jen Gets It Sorted! (Again!)

Silver Tiller 2001 - gossip with Jennie King

Where did the season go? It’s all over! Forty helms qualified – that’s impressive! Prizes for top ten overall, best newcomer  and best improver  were presented at the very splendid Merlin Hampton dinner on November 3.  (And a good time was had by all present at this excellent nosh-up!)

The prizes for the Grand Slam were also presented at the Dinner.  Congratulations are in order to John Bell at the top, and to Hywel Bowen Perkins jnr (at the bottom, this year, but his prize is a free entry for next year's training event, so watch this space...)

The silver tillers have been well spread around the fleet this year with no
fewer than nine different winners… These have included recently very popular wins for Willi Warren and Rachel at Waveney & Oulton Broad and for Jude the Dude and the Philly Factor at Datchet but Richard and Sally with seven wins, will easily take back the SILVER TILLER. John and Graham have moved ahead of Mike and Alex after securing a good second at the big Hollingworth meeting. The best attended meeting by far was the Salcombe spring silver tiller with a massive 48 entries! If more of you turn up next year it may have to be run in flights! Full results of all qualifiers are listed below.

Along with the old favourites we plan to visit some new and old
acquaintances on the silver tiller circuit next year. The programme should be available before Christmas - start making plans now.
