Wembley Open 2005
Wembley had 19 visitors and 14 home boats, and a fantastic gusty SW 3-5. Glenn
and Davo showed the way round in race 1 with the pondmeister Richard
Whitworth sniggling through to take the gun from Glenn Truswell followed by
Dave Winder, John Bell and Duncan Salmon.|
In race 2 David Winder showed his customary speed to post his first win of the day followed by Whitworth, Bell, Truswell and Salmon. Race 3 go away to a flying start but the black flag took a couple of notable casualties and the usual suspects sped of up the track to finish Winder, Truswell, Whitworth behind the shifts and gusts made a tough fight even tougher with Colin Brockbank and David Lapes taking the next places.
Winder went home with the chocolates with Whitworth and Truswell behind. This was David's second win of the weekend having regained the Hollingworth's team racing title the day before.
