Great event on the Sunday with 17 Merlins from 607 to 3637 with an upsteam run levelling the difference between the design and age of the boats.
Wall to wall sunshine a bonus!

After the winter's flooding, river conditions on the Thames are now looking more favourable for Tamesis Club's annual De May vintage and Thames Series open weekend on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April.

The club is looking forward to welcoming Merlin Rockets of all ages and designs over the weekend, with both days being the opening event in the De May vintage and Thames Series 2014 calendars. And as well as great sailing, there'll be excellent catering and a well stocked bar.

Boats can be left at the club either on the Friday evening or the Saturday if only competing on the Sunday. Please contact me via email if you would like to do this.

Please also note that due to clashes with other river events, the date of the weekend has changed from the 11th and 12th October as originally published in the Autumn/Winter magazine's fixtures list.

We look forward to seeing you all.

Report and results on the Tamesis website.
Thanks to all the visitors who attended on both days.
My 8 year old daughter certainly enjoyed her sail on Saturday, especially the second race!

"Despite the weather forecast, Sunday produced a decent north-westerly allowing the fleet to beat downriver towards Teddington Lock. Thanks to all the visitors from Hampton, Thames, Wembley and Fishers Green. Report and full results for both days are imminent."
