I'm pleased to report that Tosh and chloe got the bullet with Duncan Salmon and Ian Garwood 2nd Llly Houseman 3rd ad hywel Senior and Morgan in 4th. Despite the 0 wind forcast and many boats taking the precaution of anchors they were not needed and was a good sail especially for yours truly
Hwel senior took an early lead but threw it away by going fishing for wind on wrong bank. Dunc and lilly had a battle whilst the writer broke thru The run to the finish certainly tested the nerves of the writer
The rest is history

How many boats were sailing then? Was there any Juniors?

Yes there were Juniors, Natt (Natalie Fuller) was probably the youngest helm at 16, Morgan Perkins was probably the youngest crew at (?young?.
I guess about 12 or 13 boats

Just to correct Toshface's results it was Ollie (not Llly!!) Houseman and Catherine Ashley who came 3rd.
Secondly the River series trophy was not presented, although it was returned by me, as results could not be confirmed from the Minima event.
Just to close. The event was very well run and the race was a true race, with some very close, nail biting, competitive sailing.
Good fun had by all I believe.

One wonders if the Wembley sailors are allergic to the water further up the Thames...

Results from Minima Merlin open were: 1st Mike and Liliana Stephens 2nd Ken Duffell and myself 3rd Ben Marshall 4th.....Minima boats which haven't seen a trailer in years.
We weren't sure if Minima was included in the river series this year as it wasn't on the fixture list on the website.
