MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Student Nationals

Well well well... Me and my mate Jim from London took HB-P's Matrix to the student Nationals in the handicap fleet and won! Beat the likes of top 5 RS800 sailors etc. Good fun it was too. It probably has to be said that the conditions and courses played into our hands a little, but hopefully lots more people know what a merlin is now!

Not sure the RS400 guys that we beat over the water, or the B14 guys for that matter, were too impressed though...

Tobi Watson was there too sailing a laser 2 - not sure how he did overall.

Catch you all later.

Well done Chris...I'm glad all went as planned!!
Cheers for looking after the bateau, can I have the tactic back though or are you keeping it as a souvenier of your victory?

Tobi Watson was indeed at the Student Nationals. Crewing. Their boat came 21st with a lady helm new to spinnakers.

The winner of the event is a member of the Glasgow team. Watch out English! The Scots are hot.
