So, CHEW VALLEY'S VISITOR'S DAY is on the 26th of October .
In addition to the general Invitation, please see below, this year the Invitation is particularly directed to anyone owning a Merlin Rocket of Any Age or Competitiveness to encourage them to come along to a Gathering of Merlins on the 26th, to admire each other's boats, race, and enjoy some good food and beer, the latter not included in the five quid entry fee !! Boats and owners may pitch up to rig and sail on the Saturday if they wish. Handicapping for a hoped for seventy year range of boats will present a challenge so advance notice of attending boats' age, design, rig spec. etc. would be of great assistance. This is a personal initiative on my part so please direct any Merlin related questions and boats' RSVPs to me and any other event related queries to Nick Fisher. My email is [email protected]. VISITORS DAY 26th October 2014 In Aid Of The RNLI
Chew Valley Sailing Club welcomes all Visitors to come and sail in aid of the RNLI.
The morning race consists of “A” & “B” Handicap Races. (B Handicap Laser and slower Boats) Start 1100.
The afternoon race consists of a full length pursuit. Start not before 1330.
Handicaps in operation will be the Chew Valley adjusted handicaps.

TOP CLUB. Open to all visiting clubs that have a minimum of 3 visiting boats. The best 3 boats from each club in the 2 race series will count their points and the lowest aggregate will win. Simples! The more you bring the more the chance to win!
No official entry fee but we would suggest a £5 donation to the RNLI (This would be our normal daily fee). For more information contact:
