Introducing the all new 2012 Hampton open meeting thread. All other Hampton open meeting threads are forgeries. On the weekend of October 6th and 7th,any merlineers tempted to come to the Hampton Riviera will be treated to two days of the finest river sailing known to mankind. Saturday is dedicated to vintage racing, being part of the De May series. Followed by curry, real ale, dark and stormies and revelry. Sunday is the Hampton leg of the Thames series. Expect 3 action packed races a day, starting at 11 on both days. It would be very helpful if people could give me an idea if they are coming along and curry orders need to be booked before lunch on Saturday

I'm intending to be there for the Sunday racing. Probably won't be around for the Sat night though if I have nothing else on, I might be up for it if you can guarentee some Merlin Party Madness Philly?... :-P

Only one more sleep before the Hampton weekend begins. Fine weather forecast with a gentle breeze. Lots of fun to be had.

Yet another great weekend was had at Hampton. Not necessarily for the sailing as the wind struggled to combat the stream. The excellent eating and drinking was interspersed with long periods of sitting still next to a very familiar piece of bank, occaisionaly being wafted forward by a slightly stronger zephyr.

Hi Phil Have you or any other Hampton rep got the full results of last Sunday's Thames Series? I've checked Hampton's website but there doesn't appear to be anything posted there as yet. Just wanted to update the overall series results before Tamesis host the next round this Sunday. Many thanks. Richard.

The only other boat with a result is in fact 3511, DNS race 1 (but managed to get back to the club without assistance ;-> ) 5th in race 2 - Andrew and Ellie Mills
There are another 13 scoring either DNS/DNS or DNS/DNF but who entered the event, Phil will have the names.
