MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Blithfield SC Silver Tiller arrangements

After a chat around the club on Sunday the details for our ST event on 17th March have been changed slightly.

1) First start now 13:00
2) There will be NO LUNCH. Three races in close succession, brief comfort break between two of them.
3) We have arranged for the village fish and chip van to be in the car park immediately after racing and the club bar will be open.

Hopefully this will encourage some more long distance travellers to attend, and give the whole weekend turnout a boost - don't forget Midland on the Sunday!

Anything that involves more time in bed sounds good!

As a back of the fleet sailor cant say I'm to impressed, three races back to back for me is the reality, not so keen on packing up in the dark either and yes it will be by the time I finish!!

Races at Blithfield are never really back-to-back like what you get at the seaside, there is always a bit of a gap. Anyway... fish and chips on the beach (??) straight after sailing and a pint.....Great!

As always, the bar will be open 'till late and camping is free. Hopefully enough people will come and we'll have sufficient trade to keep the fish and chip van happy - which is specially booked!

Just to add to the above. The revised programme has the last race stating at the same time as the original plan. We have to be off the water 1 hour before sunset so you will not need your torch.
