Now that Salcombe has been and gone, don't forget to save some of your Easter eggs for the Banbury Silver Tiller on 19th April. http://www.banburysailing.org.uk/merlin_rocket_open.htm |
Anyone who wants to drop there boat off the day before before proceeding to the Tosh houseparty is welcome to do so BUT will need to make contact with me so that I can let them onto the site as we lock the gate to keep anglers and other undesirables out. |
me and martin are coming to the event but only doing the 1st and 2nd race as need to get back for the launch on my crews dad new boat that he has just built. |
Not so much a houseparty as a gentle soiree, playing backgammon and sipping perry?! |
If it is to be a gentle 'soiree' why is a 'a ton of Neurofen' needed for the Sunday morning????? |
Don't forget that we award prizes for first three places plus as an encouragement to the club sailor, a prize for the best placed Prime of Life boat (more than 10 years old and less than 20 - this year 3551 to 3430) and for first Mature boat (more than 20 years old - this year 3429 and below). http://www.banburysailing.org.uk/merlin_rocket_open.htm |
Looks to be ideal weather (famous last words) so we expect to see everyone here. All the sea shore sailors need to remember that they need to do a restricted event to qualify for the Silver Tiller and where better than Banbury. |
i would but am crew less |
I have a young crew for you if you need it. My son Harry has crewed Merlins but has little experience but would at least get you on the water. |
Full results now on the Banbury SC website - see link below. http://www.banburysailing.org.uk/Results2009/MR%20Open%20Results%202009.htm |
The report is there now as well. http://www.banburysailing.org.uk/Results2009/MR_Open_Report_2009.htm |
While you were having fun at Banbury, we were busy supporting Mark Fuller & Chris Gould doing rather well in the BUSA Fleet Inland National Champs, taking Chambulls to 2nd overall. More details on the link below. http://www.sailfun.co.uk/index.php/member-blogs |
Alan, get that boy in a boat more often! |
