Boat's polished, sails in car, what's the forecast?

By: Dead Keen
From what I can see, maybe 3-5 knots E or SE increasing slightly in the afternoon maybe 10 knots by tea time.

No better, infact slightly worse for Cookham, where I'm going, at least I have never known a river race to be cancelled due to lack of wind :-)

Weather looks good for sunday. No problem with sunburn or hayfever.
But there will be wind; 14 mph forecast from the the south (not much good comes from the south thats true, but it has a warm heart)

I've been knobbled for doing a report, but haven't got the results yet myself - watch this space!

Unofficially from memory:

1st Matt Biggs & Dave Crockett (Powered by Speed sails after much umming and arring!!)

2nd Paul Hollis & John Hackett

3rd Memory very hazy, but Steve & Gill Leney ring a distant bell.

Please note these are very UNOFFICIAL, i did not have a good day!!

Dave, I think there aren't any separate rules for the Midland Circuit - results are calculated the same way as for Silver Tiller

What happened to Armed Forces boys?

Spinnaker halyard broke halfway throught he second race and on rolling the boat to sew it up we discovered a 6 inch long split down the front edge of the centreboard from hitting a submerged buoy at Midland a few weeks previously - not fast!!

The gods weer not with us and having taped the board and sewn the halyard up one of the pole uphauls refused point blank to allow itself to be untied from the d ring and we didn't make the 3rd start.

Hopefully thats a good share of this years bad luck out of the way!!
