Topic : Famous Shoreham Easter Cup and Adur Beer Festival

Yes folks it's that time of year again. This weekend sees the Shoreham Easter Cup on the Sunday and Monday. There are 2 good sea races a day, starting at 11am. Don't forget clocks go on this weekend.

Also the 5 day Adur Beer Festival is on at the Red Lion, so plenty of choice to wet those taste buds.

If interested please give me a call or email. Boats can be left at the club overnight. Usual £10 a day race fee applies for visitors.

Hope to see plenty of you there.

Cheers, Ross

Er is thisa serious question???

Alan the Shoreham site is about an acre of grass so good for dogs. Don't think you can leave it for 3 hours while out sailing mind.

Think we are upto 7-8 Merlins already! Jackson house getting booked up fast.

Chris you are booked in alright. Beef roast I believe is on the menu Sunday night!

Alan you only need do 3 of the 4 races so could live early on Sunday if must. I reckon each race is 1 to 1.5 hours, depends on the wind and the PRO. Alan Chaplin likes big courses as we all know!

Look forward to seeing you there

Ross

What are you on Ross ? I'm not PRO this weekend - in fact I'm in Switzerland but even from here I can see that you are in the third rank !!

Just a general comment Al. Think Chris Lintern is PRO on Sunday. Word of caution he does hang around so the gun will go at 11!

Had 8 Merlins turn up over the weekend. Sunday saw a fairly shifty off shore force 2-3 wind. There was plenty of changing places especially in the 2 race. Sadly there was not enough wind to race on Monday.

Overall top 4 were Merlins, even with new PY of 1000, (I here Whitstable are also thinking of changing their PY).

1st Lauire and Chris 3pts
2nd Liam and Alex 4 pts
3rd Will and Tom BP 6 pts
4th Ross and Dave 7pts

Sorry Ross!

You may have missed out the detail of you being sick in the back of a cab after only drinking three pints. You argument the next day ‘it was strong and fizzy beer’

Our let you fill in the part about the young lady you walked home from the Indian on Sunday night……

… and the reason your not joining us this weekend at Salcombe?

Mate you yourself were pretty sick Sunday!! Also was not the beer in my case but stupid shellfish.

Kids today, soft doesn’t cover it.

Barman, halves of lager shandy with ice and lemon all round, and don’t spare the lemonade.

Dear Unbeliever, I would have blamed the beer too had both my parents not been ill as well after said shellfish.

Is this the place to discuss under age sex? Although; "If they are big enough they are old enough!"; As the father of teenage daughter I'm not sure I agree!

I think you'll find the age of consent is 16 in the UK.

I have noticed that there doesnt seem to be a report for the shoreham easter weekend or full results? When will we get to see this?

Posted: 05/04/2005 14:57:26
By: Question
I gave you the top 4 results (the Merlins). Do you really want all the rest of the Shoreham boats that aren't Merlins....

For social gossip over the weekend Alex or Liam would be best bet. Think there's been enough about me already!

That is discrimination, not only did we have to sail with 1000 handicap, boats with 19 & 22 points o/a get placed higher than us with 18 point o/a.

Race officers obviously don't like Natt, after the Cookham finishing signal fiasco and now random positions!!!

By: Alan
Sorry Alan / Natt for that. I alreay pointed out to our results guy that the places were off. See if we can get a new version done in due course.
