Topic : where are they now?

I am attempting to assemble the greatest number of former champions and their crews to join us in celebrating our 60th in Hayling Island, but have drawn a blank on a couple of names:R. Dummett 1956 (last seen on the east coast);J Smith? 1950(crewed R J Ledwith); Tony Ruffell 1962 (crewed the late George slack);Harry Haynes and his crew J. Conway, 1975.
If anyone knows of their whereabouts please email me or ring me 01903 234516(w)/01903 230287(h). Many thanks, Willie.

Just had a long chat with Harry Haynes - I rang him to get his address for Willie - He is very well - not sailing any more but still cycling 20 miles a day and is proposing to come to Hayling! Thought some you who remember him would like to know.

Pat, following your posting about Harry Haynes and knowing his's not going to be in 'Bad Company' it struck me that it could be good to bring down one of his old boats - 'Spring Fever'.

I knew this boat was in good condition two years ago so got on the phone last night.

Unfortunatly it appears the cover broke 18 months ago and it now needs lots of TLC. It's up for sale 2/300 might clinche it not sure, I'd do it myself but for recent circumstances, so if anyone's interested in aquiring an historic boat with pedigree email me I'll put you in touch.

It would be a shame to loose another historic boat in a similar way the that of Fadeway - growing Tulips in the front garden!
