Newbie question - can someone clarify what the letter in the right hand column of the Silver Tiller events means? R, O or S?

R=Restricted (River/small tree bound reservoir)
 
O = Open water (Larger expanse of water with less restricted wind)
 
S = Open sea.

In order to qualify for the Silver Tiller you need to count five results including a restricted (R) venue (usually a river or small reservoir), an open (O) venue (usually larger inland venues or estuary), and a sea (S) venue, the two other venues can be from any of the three categories.

Thanks Chris and Caroline, that makes sense now. For some reason I thought that Restricted meant entry was restricted to qualifying top sailors or something, and Open meant open to all comers. Couldn't work out what S was for! Pleased to hear there are no restrictions to entering events. Cheers.
